Indonesian Central Securities Depository (KSEI) has recorded South Kalimantan as the 18th highest number of investors from 34 provinces in Indonesia.

"The number of investors in South Kalimantan is 9,928 and from that number there are 4,658 investors domiciled in Banjarmasin City," said Head of Inspection Unit of PT KSEI Fitrianto to reporters in Banjarmasin on Friday (7/26).

According to him, the number of investors in the Indonesian Capital Market until the end of June 2019 reached 1,971,213, including securities owners, mutual funds and securities issued by Bank Indonesia.

"Some of the developments realized by KSEI have been able to have a positive impact on the Indonesian Capital Market and we hope this can increase investor comfort in transactions and attract new investors to invest in the Indonesian Capital Market," he said in a discussion with reporters.

Fitrianto socialized the Next Generation AKSes facility (AKSes Next-G). AKSes Next-G development includes an easy log-in process, just use an email address.

"AKSes Next-G users are not limited to investors, but also to the general public," he explained.

Other changes to the Next-G AKSes, he said, are on more dynamic pages or homes with more interesting information by running trades, capital market activities and news headlines or capital market articles.

Throughout 2018 KSEI has completed several developments, such as the implementation of C-BEST Next-G, a system for the storage and settlement of securities transactions in the capital market to anticipate an increase in the number of investors.

"The latest generation of KSEI system capacity has increased six-fold and is able to handle up to three million investors," he said.
