Patikalain Village in Hantakan Sub-district, Central Hulu Sungai (HST), became a kickoff of mass planting action in the district as part of simultaneous action to recover river basin system (DAS) across South Kalimantan.

The South Kalimantan Forestry Agency's program through the HsT's Forest Management Office (KPH) was marked with planting of three species plant, sengon, jengkol, petai and durian by the HST government officials together with local residents, Friday (Oct 25, 2019).

This activities, said Secretary of Environment and Transportation Agency Rahmatullah, was in line with the Green Revolution to plant for our grand children, which is the program of Governor H Sahbirin Noor, stipulated in Regional Regulation No 7/2018.

"This year, KPH Central Hulu Sungai targets to plant covering an area of 5.200 Ha to involve all elements of people," he said.

According to him, through the Barito River Basin and Protection Forest Management Center (BPDASHL) work unit RHL making plants was targeted to recover 2,075 ha river basin in three districts, namely Tapin, South Hulu Sungai (HSS), and HST.

The national movement to recover DAS conducted in Patikalaian Village alone, said Rahmatullah, covered an area of 2 Ha.
