Health Ministry finally recovered the dr. Andi Abdurrahman Noor District Hospital (RSUD) of Tanah Bumbu service level to its former class C.

"Tanah Bumbu Hospital truely has C class, but because of less in updating its facility and infrastructure report to the Health Minitry, then the ministry recommended to lower it class," said director of the hospital dr. Arman through Head Administration Saleh in Batulicin, Thursday.

As a result of delay in updating data periodically, then the ministry considered its health service standards to be lowered to
class D. The Tanah Bumbu followed it up right away and made online verification until re-assessment held to 615 hospitals, including Tanah Bumbu.

The recovery, he continued, base on the re-assessment of the 615 hospitals by the Ministry of Health and was stipulated in a letter No. YR.05.01/III/3787/2019.

Class C hospital provides limited subspecialty medical services. Four types of specialist services provided, namely internal medicine services, surgical services, child health services, as well as obstetrics and gynecology services.

Class C hospital is established in the city or regencies as level 2 health facilities that accommodate referrals from level 1 health facilities (puskesmas/polyclinics or private doctors).

According to Saleh, many impact will be felt by patients if the hospital standard type of service to be lowered to class D. One of which patients will not be treated in maximum, because he or she must be referred to class C hospital.

The management of the hospital, he iterated, is committed to providing the best health services to the public. One of which is by completing several health facilities, including dialysis services.

"Previously, Tanah Bumbu does not have this service (dialysis), and patient must be referred to Banjarmasin. Now almost all diseases are treated here in Tanah Bumbu Hospital," he concluded.
