The South Kalimantan inflation rate in September 2019, which combined Banjarmasin and Tanjung, stood at 0,01 percent, the Central Statistics Agency (BPS) recorded.

Head of South Kalimantan BPS Diah Utami in Banjarbaru City, Tuesday, informed that Banjarmasin experienced 0,06 percent inflation, on the contrary a deflation of 0,61 percent occured in Tanjung.

"The accumulative rate of inflation in Banjarmasin in September 2019 against Desember 2018 is 3,26 percent, while in Tanjung 0,34 percent," she said.

Rice with dishes, muslim wear, snakehead fish, gold jewelry, medicine with prescription, were the highest share of inflation in Banjarmasin. While air transportation, broiled chicken, red chili, flying fish were the highest to contribute deflation. 

"Inflation in Banjarmasin because of Consumer Index Price rise from 138,87 to 138,95, while deflation in Tanjung from 135,19 to 134,37," she noted.

The highest share of deflation in Tanjung were broiled chicken, red chili, long bean, and watermelon.

BPS also recorded 12 out of 82 city exprienced inflation and deflation occured to 70 city. The Meulaboh has the highest inflation of 0,91 percent and the lowest in Palopo 0,02 percent.
