The District Government of Tabalong again held the night of Tadarus and Haflah Alqur'an together with the community in collaboration with the Brotherhood of Qari Qari'ah (Ipqah) at Tanjung Giat Park, Saturday night (25/5).

The fifth activity was also attended by South Kalimantan Provincial Secretary Abdul Haris Makkie, Chairperson of Ipqah South Kalimantan Murjani, Regent Anang Syakhfiani and Deputy Regent Mawardi and a number of agencies (SKPD) heads.

The regent said that the night of Tadarus and Haflah is aimed to comprehend and apply the Al Quran by hoping for even greater blessings to come down to this Land of Sarabakawa (Tabalong).

Meanwhile the South Kalimantan Secretary Abdul Haris Makkie conveyed his appreciation to the Tabalong and Ipqah who routinely carried out tadarus and haflah every Ramadhan.

"Implementing tadarus is not only ceremonial but every day every time we read and practice the Quran because that's where there is blessing," said Haris.

Alqur'an is a guide and it has become a necessity to learn to read and practice its contents.

Tadarus and Haflah activity was divided into groups. Each group consists of 30 people and each recites the Qur'an to finish (khatam).
