Kotabaru, S Kalimantan (Antaranews Kalsel) - Kotabaru District Prosecutor's Office (Kejari), South Kalimantan, saved billions of rupiah in state money from various cases it handled during 2018.
Chief of Kotabaru Prosecutor's Office Indah Laila said on Monday that the state money saved was mostly the result of a loot from corruption.
"From the special criminal field, the value is almost IDR 4 billion," she said.
She added, throughout the year there were six corruption cases handled by Kejari Kotabaru, two of which are still under investigation.
In addition to the loot from corruption, civil and administrative cases also contributed to the state's income. From tax arrears to PLN and PDAMs customer receivables made by Kejari Kotabaru, Rp2 billion was collected.
The amount was still added to the payment of fines and court fees from the general crimes of Rp1 billion and fostering the procurement of goods and services around Rp500 million.
"A total of Rp. 7.5 billion has been collected, this is the biggest," she said.
Indah claimed that the state money saved by her ranks this year has doubled and is the most compared to other Kejari in South Kalimantan. In fact, the amount can still increase because there are still obligations that have not been paid.
All of the billions of rupiahs of money go to the state treasury that it can be used again to finance the development.
