Tanjung, S Kalimantan (Antaranews) - Technical Implementation Unit of Tabalong Forest Management Unit (UPT-KPH) formed a green revolution forum as a form of community empowerment in supporting tree planting activities.
The head of the District KPH UPT Heryadi said the forum is a place to move and unite to green South Kalimantan quickly through tree planting.
"We will coordinate with the green revolution forum at the provincial level regarding the program and targets to be achieved," he explained.
The establishment of a green revolution forum also involved non-governmental organizations, village officials, and other relevant agencies.
In addition to the formation of a green revolution forum, local KPHs socializes tree planting and maintenance programs in the district.
As chair of the Green Revolution forum elected Sri Wahyuni from the HKariwaya Green Community Forum and as her deputy Pahmi who currently serves as the Santuun Village Chief.
Meanwhile, in the framework of the Tabalong Anniversary, the local government will carry out tree planting convoys in the Tanjung and Tanta Subdistricts. "For the needs of the seed comes from a number of permanent nurseries, such as in Banjabaru and Kandangan," explained Heryadi.
