Banjarmasin, S Kalimantan (Antaranews Kalsel) - South Kalimantan National Narcotics Agency (BNNP) has awarded University of Lambung Mangkurat (ULM) with the Prevention and Eradication of Abuse and Trafficking of Illicit Drugs (P4GN) award.
Head of BNNP Brig. Gen. Nixon Manurung handed over the award to the Rector of ULM Prof. Dr. H. Sutarto Hadi on the sidelines of "Healthy Walk with the Governor Uncle Birin" in the framework of 2018 International Anti Drugs Day at 0 Km Banjarmasin, Saturday (14/7).
According to Nixon, ULM is awarded as an educational institution that has participated independently in connection with P4GN's efforts.
Prof. Sutarto Hadi as the Chairman of the Alliance of Anti-Drug Abuse College Volunteers (Artipena) South Kalimantan is considered so concerned about the younger generation in the campus environment to avoid drugs.
"Artipena is a partner of BNN to free the college from drug abuse and trafficking. I am very appreciative of the ULM rector in his efforts to ward off drug viruses on campus," said Nixon.
While Sutarto Hadi feels grateful that efforts to prevent drug abuse and the establishment of Artipena have gained appreciation from BNN and local government.
He hopes drug prevention efforts on campus can be improved, so campuses in South Kalimantan, especially in ULM, free from drug abuse.
"Examples of efforts that we do by conducting drug testing as one of the requirements of registration as a new student and carry out continuous coaching for students on campus," said Sutarto.
