Kotabaru, S Kalimantan (ANTARA) - The Kotabaru Statistics Agency (BPS) in South Kalimantan Province, continues it efforts to improve public data service delivery by holding a Focus Group Discussion (FGD).
"This FGD is held to obtain input and to evaluate BPS activities in Kotabaru," said acting Head of the Kotabaru BPS Khairi Kholisin here on Thursday.
He expounded improving public data service and fostering integrated sectoral statistics at the Kotabaru BPS is necessary to raise service standards at BPS.
The activities include refining publication in figures and implementing One Data Indonesia as well as developing public service standards to align sectoral data with the regional government to ensure accuracy and consistency.

"The FGD aims to ensure that data produced by BPS increasingly accessible, relevant, and useful, and public service at BPS increasingly responsive and accountable," he said.
The FGD participants were included the Population and Civil Registration Office (Disdukcapil, the Cooperatives, Industry, and Trade Office, lecturers from Kotabaru Polytechnic, the media, and the Indonesian Employers Association (Apindo).
BPS Public Service Team Leader Kharisma Ayu stated that improving the quality of public services is a step BPS takes to provide responsive, fast, easy, and accurate services.
"Through this FGD, we hope to gain firsthand insight into the challenges faced by service users, so that our improvements are more targeted and aligned with community needs," Ayu concluded.
