Kotabaru, South Kalimantan (ANTARA) - The district government of Kotabaru along with the Kotabaru Indonesian Teachers' Association (PGRI) held a fun walk and Anak Indonesia Hebat exercise to celebrate 80th anniversary of PGRI and National Teacher's Day (HGN) for South Kalimantan level.
"We appreciate teachers enthusiastically participating this special day for educators," said Chairman of South Kalimantan PGRI Abdul Rivai.
"For the past decade, we haven't held events in the region, and I consider this event to be a great success in Kotabaru Regency. Thank you for preparing this event so well," he added.

The event was also attended by the Kotabaru Regional Leadership Communication Forum (Forkopimda), Expert Staff for Community and Human Resources Jurainah, Acting Head of the Education and Culture Office Dr. H. Asriady Sulaiman, and Chairman of the Kotabaru PGRI Hawadis Zainubah.
Thousands of participants, including preschool, elementary, junior high, and high school teachers, and representatives from 12 districts/cities in South Kalimantan, enthusiastically participated in the "Anak Indonesian Hebat" exercise.
The fun walk route began at the Siring Laut tourist attraction, then Jalan Pangeran Indera Kesuma Negara, Jalan Jenderal Sudirman, Jalan Pangeran Diponegoro, Jalan Singabana, Jalan Putri Cipta Sari, and ended at the Siring Laut Sea Walk.

A number of door prizes were raffled off during the fun walk, including motorcycles, bicycles, refrigerators, washing machines, and various other attractive prizes.
Kotabaru's MSMEs also participated, selling various Kotabaru specialty snacks, including amplang (a fish-based snack), other snacks, sasirangan cloth, and knick-knacks, which could be used as souvenirs for family and friends.
