Rantau, S Kalimantan (ANTARA) - The Class IIB Rantau Detention Center in Tapin capital, South Kalimantan, harvested mustard greens, purple eggplant, tomatoes, and chilies resulted from food security program.
Head of Rantau Detention Center Renaldi Hutagalung said that the harvest follows up on Minister of Immigration and Corrections's directive that all detentioan centers in Indonesia have independent food security program.

"The sales results will be included in the premiums of inmates involve in the program," he added.
The food security program at the detention is currently managed by three inmates who have been deemed eligible through an assessment and hearing by the Correctional Observation Team (TPP).
"The three inmates who manage the food security at Rantau Detention are expected to be able to continue their farming skills upon their release," said Renaldi.

“This harvest is the second for eggplants, after previously yielded around 10 kilograms, and the first harvest for mustard greens, chilies, and tomatoes,” he said.
Renaldi hopes food security program at the Rantau Detention to continue with the support of various parties, both from vertical parties and local government.
