Kotabaru, South Kalimantan (ANTARA) - Deputy Chairman II of the Kotabaru Legislative Council (DPRD) M Arif said that considering tourism and agribusiness are the focus of the district government, he suggested the need to take affirmative action.
The two sectors are stated in the government's vision and mission as the potential sectors to realize a more prosperous society.
"(It is necessary) to take affirmative action steps, such as involving third parties in planning and implementation," M Arif said in Kotabaru, Tuesday.
According to him, the exploration of the two sectors should be in line with good management and the digilization-based technological information.

"The development of the two sectors has progressed a lot in "Bumi Saijaan" (Kotabaru's nickname)," he acknowledged.
He also did not deny that the development of the tourism sector in Kotabaru has made significant progress and increased locally derived revenue (PAD).
Especially to the Board of Development Planning (Bappeda), he said, the involvement of private sector is aim for acceleration. And he encouraged it to focus the budget to catch up with the region's vision and mission.
In addition, he asked the local government to reduce unemployment rate by providing trainings in agribusiness, so as to support the improvement of human resources to utilize the local potential.
