Banjarbaru, South Kalimantan (ANTARA) - The South Kalimantan Office of National Land Agency (BPN) is now providing electronic land certificate or land e-certificates service, so people don't need to worry if land ownership documents are damaged or lost.
"Electronic land certificates are certainly more efficient and safe," said Head of South Kalimantan BPN Abdul Azis in Banjarbaru, Thursday.
By implementing the electronic services, Azis hopes, many more people are able to access the services and understand the importance of land e-certificates.

Azis assures that the security of land e-certificates issued by BPN can be guaranteed because they have been recorded in the database.
They cannot be duplicated or faked by land mafias who often do everything they can to illegally seize land rights belonging to other people.
On the other side, electronic land certificate still have high economic value for business purposes.
During the simultaneous launch of electronic sertificate by Minister of Agrarian and Spatial Planning/Head of National Land Agency (ATR/BPN) Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono (AHY), South Kalimantan BPN distributed five land e-certificates.
Two certificates in Tanah Laut District for Defence Ministry and one certificate for Transportation Ministry.
Then one in Barito Kuala District for the local government and another one for the Ministry of Religious Affairs in Banjarbaru City.
