Batulicin, S Kalimantan (ANTARA) - A coal company PT Bukit Makmur Mandiri Utama (BUMA) Geo-Aje Jobsite in Tanah Bumbu District organized beach clean up attended by officials and students.
"We packaged this program in the form of "Coastal Clean Up", and this week we carry it out at Angsana beach," said Support Manager of PT BUMA Geo-Aje Jobsite Hengky Ronald, Tuesday.
From BUMA management were Mining Manager Tony Friyanto and Superintendent SHE BUMA Geo-Aje Jobsite Rudy Hariyanto.
Some government officials, including Angsana Sub-district Head Liana Hamita, Head of Binmas Unit of Angsana Police Budi, representative of Angsana Koramil Suwiko and team, Head of Angsana Village Sayid Firdaus.
Head of Sumber Baru Village Dwi Purnani, Head of Bayansari Village Misransyah, Head of Mekar Jaya Village Yono, and Head of Makmur Village Sudirman.
Tanah Bumbu Environment Office represented by Siti Fatimah, high school SMA 1 Angsana students, and other five assisted schools students. This activity became an added value for SMA 1 Angsana to achieve Adiwiyata Mandiri.
Hengky said the action was a form of corporate social responsibility as well as commemorating National K3 month, which takes place from January 12 to February 12, 2024.

This is the company's effort to raise awareness of all parties about the importance of caring and preserving the environment, especially on coastal areas, so that it is free from rubbish that is difficult to descompose in the soil, he said.
The activity was opened with morning exercise, followed by presentation of enviro material by SHE BUMA team.
The, participants were divided into groups to clean up waste in the beach. The group collected the heaviest amount of rubbish will get a prize from committee.
The activity continued with symbolic planting of 19 productive trees by participants.
Symbolicaly two gazebos handed over to be built on Angsana beach, also 18 rubbish bins by management of BUMA Hengky Ronald to Angsana Village head as the area administrator.
The morning activities were then closed with lunch by all participants at the Coastal Clean Up location.
"Hopefully it brings benefits to communities around our mine and will be part in advancing the villages around BUMA mine," he said.
