Batulicin, S Kalimantan (ANTARA) - The Batulicin branch of state-owned shipping company PT Pelni donated 15 trash bins to support clean environment program in Tanah Bumbu District, South Kalimantan.
"We hand over assistance of 120 liter trash bins for waste management facilities to the Tanah Bumbu government," said Head of PT Pelni Batulicin Yuniati Fatimah here on Tuesday.
The assistance, she said, was a form of implementation of the company's sustainable social and environmental responsibility program.
Secretary of the Tanah Bumbu Environment Office Dewi Murni said that trash bins will be placed at the Simpang Empat Educational Park to support waste management at the area.
"At the same time to meet the standards for waste sorting facilities according to Adipura criteria," she said.

She added that the office will also distribute other trash bins around the entrance to Samudera Harbor area.
Murni estimates that this location really supports the beauty and cleanliness of the urban area of Simpang Empat Sub-district, thus it needs lots of rubbish bins.
Murni hopes PT Pelni Batulicin and other companies in Tanah Bumbu to play they role, to synergize and collaborate with the local government to realize sustainable development.
"We need the support of all parties to improve the quality of the environmentl which is beneficial, both for companies, the local community, and society in general," said Murni.
