Batulicin, S Kalimantan (ANTARA) - Tanah Bumbu, South Kalimantan, has launched "Bang Julpikar" (which stands for donate, sell, sort, and exchange rubbish) program to make waste program easier.
"This program is also a mean so that people not longer depend on final disposal site (TPA)," said Head of Tanah Bumbu Environment Office Rahmat Prapto Udoyo in Batulicin, Monday.
Bang Julpikar, said Rahmat, who was accompanied by Head of Waste Management, Hazardous and Toxic Waste (PSLB3) of the office Indah Maya Suryanti, is a service for picking up and purchasing sorted rubbish of economic value, such as plastic bottles, paper, and others by Main Waste Bank of the Environment Office.

The program, which is still in the dissemination stage, is currently being followed by cleaning managers of each government working units (SKPD) within the Tanah Bumbu District Government.
"We hope that with the pick-up service, the participation of all parties in sorting and depositing waste will increase, both for individual customer service and by establishing unit of waste bank," he hopes.
Bang Julpikar's initial targets include offices, schools, shops, villages/urban villages, and individual in the Batulicin and Simpang Empat sub-districts.
"This progam and innovation is implemented based on the Circular Letter of the Regent of Tanah Bumbu Number:/658.1/5911/DLH-PSLB3.1.Bup/IX/2023 concerning Establishment and Activity of Waste Bank Unit," he said.
