Banjarmasin, S Kalimatan (ANTARA) - Kalsel Expo 2023 or the 2023 South Kalimantan Expo held from August 30 to September 3, 2023 in Banjarbaru has booked a total trasactions of IDR7.6 billion, acting Head of South Kalimantan Trade Office Nurul Fajar Desira Ces informed.
"Alhamdulillah (Thanks God) Kalsel Expo 2023 was successful, very lively till the closing," said Fajar in Banjarbaru, Monday.
A total 251 booths presented to enliven the event which was also to commemorate the 73rd Anniversary of South Kalimantan Province and the 78th for Indonesia's Independence Day.
"More than 160,000 visitors recorded to come to Kalsel Expo 2023," said Fajar.
The expo aimed to display the progress of the development in South Kalimantan, introducing MSMEs superior products, and opening up opportunities for national and international markets.
South Kalimantan Expo also promoted Meratus Geopark to be better known and recognized worldwide.

When closing the Expo Sunday (Sept 3, 2023) night, Governor expressed his appreciation for the successful implementation of the activity with a total transaction higher than the previous year.
"Kalsel Expo has succeeded to present as a promotional space, marketing facility, and consolidation to further revive MSMEs products of South Kalimantan and other regions, as well as disseminating various development information and entertainment for al level society in South Kalimantan," he said.
Sahbirin mentioned that the Kalsel Expo 2023 has the opportunity to explain South Kalimantan's strategic position as the gate of the new National Capital (IKN) of Nusantara to various parties, especially potential investors.
“The success of this expo is the result of partisipation and our collective encouragement, especially the cooperation of all elements from local government, private, MSMEs, to the community," said Sahbirin.
