Tanjung, South Kalimantan (AntaranewsKalsel) - PT Pertamina will manage the operation of Warukin Airport in Tabalong District after Kalstar terminating air transport services here since February 2016.


Head of Regional Asset and Investment of Financial and Wealth Management Agency Husin Ansyari in Tanjung on Friday said in written PT Pertamina in principle want to operate and develop the airport as a follow-up of of Regent's letter related to purchase plan of Warukin asset owned by Pertamina.

Husin added Warukin Airport status is still an asset of Pertamina and local government only has use permit to manage this air transportation mean.

In letter Number 034/K00000/2016-SO signed by the Director of Human Resources and General PT Pertamina Dwi W Daryoto mentioned the development and operation of the airport will through its subsidiary PT Pelita Air Service.

Tabalong government is expected to provide an opportunity for PT Pelita Air Service to make an assessment plan related to the operation and development of Warukin that has the status of the general airport.

Public Relations Staff of PT Pertamina EP Asset V Cape Field Devanty Puri Kencana Sari confirmed the plan of development and operation of Warukin by PT Pertamina considering the airport's status is still owned by Pertamina.
