Kotabaru, South Kalimantan (ANTARA) - PT Indogement Tunggal Prakarsa Tbk Plant Tarjun, Kotabaru District, together with the Tanah Bumbu Police Traffic Unit provided training on disaster response and traffic safety to vocational high school students (SMK).
"As many as 59 students and six teachers attended the training, they were from SMKS Kodeco Simpang Empat, SMKS Tunas Bangsa Batulicin and SMK Negeri 1 Simpang Empat, Tanah Bumbu District," said Indocement General Manager Operations Retnawan Widhiantoro through SHECSR Manager H Teguh Iman Basoeki here on Wednesday.
Indocement's vocational activities to support government programs through disaster response in synergy with the Police Traffic Unit are part of Indocement's CSR education pillar program and Employee Voluntering.
Teguh said, this is a manifestation of the company's contribution and concrete steps to the community in terms of increasing competence in the field of K3 (occupational health and safety) and developing human resources for the community, especially vocational students in the district.
"This activity is also held as part of Indocement's 2022 Safety Week series," said Teguh.
Meanwhile, Indocement Safety Team activity coordinator Sudirman Noor added that the participants also received direct on-the-job training (OJT), how to extinguish fires during fires using a light fire extinguisher (APAR) and traditional tools, such as blankets and wet sacks.
"This activity can certainly provide good education to students and teachers in schools," he said.
The material provided is in the form of K3/safety knowledge about the potential and prevention efforts, early response to the risk of potential fire hazards, emergency response, disaster management, and safety riding.
Meanwhile, Tanah Bumbu Police Chief AKBP Tri Hambodo, SIK through Chief of Safety Riding (Kanit Kamsel) of the Tanah Bumbu Traffic Unit Police, Aiptu Mary Siswanto Setiawan, highly appreciated Indocement's synergy in supporting the activities held and providing opportunities for the Tanah Bumbu Traffic Unit Police as a driving safety teacher for students and teachers.
