Tanjung, South Kalimantan (AntaranewsKalsel) - Tanjung was awarded with the Wahana Tata Nugraha (WTN) trophy handed over by President Joko Widodo as its successful in supporting and implementing free transport for its citizens.
Head of the Tabalong Transportation, Communication and Information Agency Nanang Mulkani here on Monday said that WTN for `Earth Saraba Kawa` (nickname for Tabalong) is for the fifth time. It is no longer limited to the field of traffic, but including for means of transportation.
"Four previous WTN only in the form of plaques, whereas in the form of a trophy is this year. For the province of South Kalimantan only Tanjung who received a trophy directly from President Joko Widodo," said Nana.
Nana recognized the local district government policies in providing free transport service for convenient for the public, including teachers and students, became the reason for the central government to give full WTN award.
Regent Anang Syakhfiani expressed his gratitude for the achievements of Tanjung in the field of traffic by winningWTN cup full.

Free transport policy in Tanjung and surrounding areas, said Anang, commenced in December 2014 till today with the facilities support by a third party, PT Adaro Indonesia and its partners.
