We and the teams that have been formed previously have been mapping potential areas prone to conflict,"Batulicin, South Kalimantan (AntaranewsKalsel) - The government of Tanah Bumbu District, South Kalimantan, through an integrated team handling social issues held a coordination meeting in prevention of social conflicts.
Head of the Tanah Bumbu Office of National and Political Unity (Kesbangpol) Darmiadi in Batulicin on Friday said coordination meetings aimed at improving coordination and communication in order to prevent social conflicts as well as the evaluation of the action plan in 2015 conducted by the Integrated Team of Social Conflict Management.
"We and the teams that have been formed previously have been mapping potential areas prone to conflict," he said.
He said, social conflicts triggers were problems that previously existed, but had not completed resolved.
"Therefore, the government must also be present to overcome and deal with social conflict as a form to protect the nation and upholding state sovereignty," he said.
"In the prevention and handling of social conflicts, integrated team performing the task in the form of activities such as the strengthening of religious harmony, increase community harmony forum, increasing legal awareness, education, civil defense and national awareness," he said.
The coordination meeting was attended by participants from the police, District Military Command (Kodim) 1022/TNB, Batulicin Prosecutors Office (Kejari), Office of Religious Affairs (Kemenag), the National Land Agency (BPN), the Legal Division, Office of Kesbangpol, Bapedda, Forestry and Agriculture Agency, Labor Agency, and Mines and Energy Agency.
