Batulicin, South Kalimantan (AntaranewsKalsel) - Tanah Bumbu district government continues to evaluate and eradicate illiteracy by providing advanced training for community.
"Advanced program for illiteracy eradication is essential to keep society's ability to read and write more useful and could be improved," said Acting Tanah Bumbu Regent H. Wahyuddin in Batulicin.
He explained that the advanced program to implement the skills program for anyone who has passed the education for illiterates.
Skills that can include such as cooking skills or other types of skills that require the person to keep reading.
"Learn the recipe, for example, it requires people to keep reading related to the type of cuisine they make. By doing so, the ability to read will be increased and more fluent," he said.
Head of Tanah Bumbu Education Agency Sartono through the Head of Formal and Informal Education Hasanuddin said the district government has designed an advanced program for illiteracy alleviation in early 2016.
There are approximately 50 study groups that will be formed to undergo further illiteracy eradication program in each sub-district.
