Marabahan, S Kalimantan (ANTARA) - Sports and Youth Affairs Minister Zainudin Amali has officiated the Setara Sport Hall (GOR) in Marabahan, Barito Kuala (Batola) District, South Kalimantan, Tuesday.
The type B sport hall, which was built using the Ministry's Special Allocation Fund (DAK) in 2020, is one of three sport halls that were built together, namely inPapua and West Sulawesi.
"Alhamdulillah (praise be to Allah) we can inaugurate this building. The type B sport hall like this is the last, there is no more in our place, all have been transfered to the PUPR Ministry," said Zainudin.
He hopes that the Setara Sport Hall in Barito Kuala will be able to produce outstanding athletes at the national, and even international level, to make a good name of Indonesia at the world level.
"I hope that in the future Batola will be able to contribute the best athletes at the provincial, national and even international levels," said Zainudin.
On this occasion, the Minister appreciated South Kalimantan athletes for winning the fourth place in the XVI National Paralympic Week (Peparnas) in Papua in 2021.
A number of South Kalimantan athletes received awards from Minister Zainudin Amali in the event of inauguration of Setara Sport Hall.
Meanwhile, Governor of South Kalimantan Sahbirin Noor hopes that the Setara Sport Hall can be utilized as well as possible to produce the best athletes.
"We hope that this sport building cvan be used by athletes as well as possible to produce performance athletes," said Sahbirin.
According to him, the construction of the sport hall (GOR) Setara is an evidence of the government's commitment to fostering athletes in the regions.
