"We are ready to realize the environmental program because it is very important for human life and the balance of nature," he said after Environment Day at the BLH Office which was attended by various stakeholders and relevant institutions in Banjarbaru on Tuesday.
According to him, efforts to achieve environmentally sustainable city that is green and healthy society requires active role in managing the surrounding environment.
"We admit, not all the parties concerned about the environment. But in the future we will invite both individuals and groups to work together to care for the environment," he said.
He said BLH has begun to invite government officials through the eco-office to make government's offices environmentally friendly. BLH held a contest among government agencies, and plans to invite companies and privates to follow the race.
In addition to the eco office program, BLH also promotes clean river program by inviting the whole society concerned about the environment, especially rivers.
