PT ITP Manager H Teguh Iman Basoeki, through the company's Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Officer Agus Rifani, said that education was a real effort of Indocement to boost the economic growth in the region.
"This activity is developed in accordance with the CSR program in the pillar of education and economy," he said as reported on Thursday.
In this activity, Indocement collaborated with the Agricultural Counseling Center (BPP) of Kelumpang Hilir, Kotabaru, and a number of parties involved.
The BPP Kelumpang Hilir Coordinator Clara Novianto, who was also resource person of the training, said that the Indocement's CSR activity was very useful as an effort to improve the farmers' economy.
"We welcome and support the Indocement's initiation for providing the training for its partner villages and the Indocement's real effort was their hopes for mutual progress,” she said.

The Coordinator of Indocement's Community Training and Empowerment center (P3M) I Wayan Kedep Sudhiarta added that in addition to providing knowledge about semi-modern farming, farmers will also be provided with seeds so they can start developing according to the knowledge they get.
"They were trained to augment plants using sticky (grafting) teechnique, side grafting, and shoot grafting techniques, especially in fruit plant horticulture,” he explained.
One of the participants, Hariyono hoped that Indocement will continue to educate farmers, as a concrete manifestation of improving human resources which will lead to an increase in the farmers' economy.
The training was attended by Indocement-assisted village farmers from Tarjun, Serongga, Tegalrejo, and Pulau Panci, Kelumpang Hilir, Kotabaru.
