Banjarbaru, S Kalimantan (ANTARA) - The Banjarbaru Legislative Council (DPRD) which is still closed has been sterilized to prevent the spread of COVID-19 after a number of council members and secretariat staff tested positive for the deadly virus.
Secretary of the Banjarbaru DPRD Aida Yunani here on Thurday said that the building located on Jalan Basuki Rahmat was closed from Monday (Oct 5) to Friday (Oct 9).
"The closure of the building is to carry out sterilization by spraying with disinfectant to kill coronavirus, so no more members of the council or staff to be contracted COVID-19," she said.
During the closure, they all work from home until the building reopen on Monday (Oct 12).
She said, according to the decision, when the building reopen, only 50 percent of staff are allowed to present, the rest will work from home.
