Banjarbaru, S Kalimantan (ANTARA) - COVID-19 cases in South Kalimantan hit by the highest addition of 127 cases, bringing the total to 1,565 cases.
The provincial government's spokesperson for the Acceleration Handling and Control of COVID-19 Task Force HM Muslim in Banjarbaru on Wednesday afternoon said the highest addition came from the district of North Hulu Sungai (HSU) which touched 29 cases.
HSU was previously the only green zone district in South Kalimantan. But, as mass-rapid test carried out, cases in the district now jumped to 55 cases, far higher than other districts in Banua Enam (the area of six districts).
In addition to HSU, the addition of COVID-19 positive case came from Tanah Laut District 22 cases, Kotabaru 18, Banjar eight, Barito Kuala 23, South Hulu Sungai (HSS) 12, Banjarbaru City five, and Banjarmasin City 10.
Specifically in Banjarmasin, the additional number of COVID-19 cases decreased significantly compared to previusly 36 cases.

Meanwhile, the number of patients recovered added by 12, namely one from Banjar District, three from Tapin, one from HSS, one from HSU, five from Tanah Bumbu, and one from Banjarbaru.
Cases of death added by four, all from Banjarmasin.
Out of the total 1,565 cases, 1.325 people were treated in hospitals or underwent independent quarantine, 131 recovered, and 109 died.
