Barabai, S Kalimantan (ANTARA) - The district government of Central Hulu Sungai (HST) has submitted a non-smoking area draft regulation for the better health of its residents.
Regent HA Chairansyah in the local legislative council (DPRD) plenary meeting on Tuesday (June 9, 2020) delivered an answer to the general view of the factions.
It was a long with his government answer to the second amendment to Regional Regulation (Perda) No. 6 of 2012 concerning health service levies in community health center (puskesmas) and draft regulation of masterplan for industrial development in HST 2019-2040.
In the case of no-smoking areas, the regent said that the district government was very grateful for the support of the DPRD factions.
He acknowledged that in its implementation, this regulation will face many challenges and obstacles.
But the government has to do this in order to carry out one of its functions in the health sector, namely providing health service to the community.
"You like it or not, we have to propose this non-smoking regional regulation draft," Chairansyah said.
