Mud Haul Race to Maintain River

Banjarmasin, South Kalimantan (Antaranews) - The Banjarmasin Navy Base (Lanal) held mud haul race. 27 participants from various organizations, groups, as well as military and police took part.

Mud lift Race Committee Chairman Captain Suryadi here on Sunday said the event is intended to invite the community in  the city of Banjarmasin to maintain river cleanliness and health, so that the rivers in the city are kept clean and beautiful.

This activity also aims to establish familiarity and cooperation between the community and the Navy and the City Government of Banjarmasin in maintaining unity in the capital city of South Kalimantan.

The race took place in the area of the river at Jalan Veteran and surrounding communities seen to watch 

enthusiastically.

Suryadi said, in the river mud haul race, first winner getting a cash of Rp10 million, champion 2 Rp7,5 million and champion 3 get Rp5 million.

Among the contestants are firefighters, community organizations, the Army Infantry Battalion 623, Air Force of 

airfield Syamsudin Noor Banjarbaru and the South Kalimantan Police Mobile Brigade. ***
