Banjarmasin Make Roads Open Remote Areas

Banjarmasin, S Kalimantan, 19/7 (Antaranews) - The government of Banjarmasin  is now working out the construction of roads to open up the existing secluded area on the outskirts of the city.

Head of Banjarmasin Bina Marga, Ir Riduan told reporters in city hall on Friday that the roads are to open up Sungai Gampa and Kuin Kecil area. 

Although in the territory of the city of Banjarmasin, but the two areas are still isolated.  Local people should take advantage of river transport to get to the city, because roads are not yet available. Therefore, the government was determined to open up the area by road making it  passable not only for two wheels but four-wheel drive also.

The body of  road  has been made with backfill system by  red soil and is nowl in the stage of hardening and waiting for the right  time to carry out asphalting./dani
