Chairman of the Representative Board of IndonesianStevedoring Employers Association(APBMI) Bambang KRachwadi Thursday in Banjarmasin said foreigninvestors now entering Indonesia andready to compete with employers ofnationwide shipping and stevedoring companies,so that the labor of loading and unloading (TKBM) and Loading and Unloading Indonesian Employers Association (APBMI) should be changed.
Employers in the country, hesaid, must become masters in their own homes, by upholding professionalism and improve human resources, so they have a value ofcompetence.
Chairman of the Parent Cooperative Manpower Loadingand Unloading (TKBM) Ports,JF Gultom saidAPBMI and TKBMagreed together to overcome the existing problems in the field. Both are committed topartnership to address theproblems and challenges of thebusiness world to a future thatis more severe.
Gultom said itwill continue to improve theability of workers at the port.However, he added, employers also must have the courage to put the stevedorelabor or as apartner, because they gainsuccess can not be separated from the part of labor.
He said he will continueto improve the quality of laboramong other workers shall be able to readand write, so it is not easy to be fooledby others. They also need to have more skills, especially knowledge of unloading technology, whichis now growing. Hesaid this while socializing aJoint Decree of 2 DirectorGeneral and 1 Deputy about theMaking and Arrangement of CooperativeTKBM Port. It was conducted by Southand Central Kalimantan Board of APBMI with relevant partners.
