Head  of  The South Kalimantan Forestry Agency Rakhmadi Kurdi is now alerting  the possibility of mafia seeks to legalize their activities, so that they can export their illegal products abroad.

He said in Banjarmasin, Wednesday,  that illegal mining had penetrated protected areas such as protected forest in the Regency of Tanah Bumbu which is rich in natural resources mining.

"Many reports on illegal mining activities are expected an amount over a hundred points of mining," he said.

Not only in the protected forest areas, but illegal mining had also entered areas of the company holding  coal mining contract agreement PKP2B with IUP, especially in the three districts in South Kalimantan. One of them in a big company Arutmin, there are no less than 70 points of illegal mining on action overthere.

"The condition is very unusual, because it has been accelerating environmental degradation in South Kalimantan," he said.

According to him, it is not possible that the illegal mining were crowded  if  there were those who buy and make the mining results can be legally traded and can be exported goods.

Now he  has a joint venture with South Kalimantan Regional Police to conduct an investigation and handling  illegal mining activities. He said, police intelligence team had spread to ensure that the information and the illegal mining activities, including the possibility of mafia.
