The Central Hulu Sungai Police Chief Adj Sr Comr (AKBP) Sabana Atmojo in Barabai appealed to travelers to be careful passing through areas prone to traffic accidents.
"Reduce your speed when crossing in an area where traffic accidents often occur," said the 1999 graduate of the Academy of Police, Sunday.
He mentioned that there were five areas were prone to traffic accidents, including Jalan A. Yani Km 180 to Km 181,500, precisely in Haur Gading Village, BAU Sub-district, Pemangkih Village public road Km 161 to Km 163 LAU Sub-district.
Furthermore, Jalan Abdul Muis Ridhani Km 166 to Jalan A Yani Km 166,400 to be exact in Mandingin Village, Barabai Sub-district, then on Jalan A Yani Km 151 Kapuh Padang Village to Km 152 Barikin Village, Haruyan Sub-district.
In addition, there are also areas prone to traffic jams including the Sacred Keramat Terminal Barabai on Jalan H M Sarkawi and the Jalan Pasar Baru Barabai, HST.
Sabana said, to overcome all possibilities the police have set up several security posts and one service post that is incorporated in the 2019 Ketupat Intan Operation.
