The Banjarmasin Customs and Excise Supervision and Service Office (KPPBC TMP B) destroyed millions of illegal cigarettes which entering the city.


"The millions of cigarettes that we destroyed all of them do not have excise tapes," said Head of Banjarmasin KPPBC TMP B Firman Sane Hanafiah here on Thursday.

The illegal cigarettes destroyed amounted to 4,336,992 cigarettes, with a value of Rp3,881,607,840, and the value of state losses amounted to Rp1,669,741,920.

In addition to destroying cigarettes, Customs and Excise destroyed 216 bottles of ethyl alcohol containing worth Rp108,000,000, while state losses amounted to Rp10,508,400.

Furthermore, the postal package was destroyed in the form of sex toys, porn comics and supplements of 34 packages, the value of goods was Rp 17,650,000.

Next, the ex-goods were not controlled 189 packages with a value of Rp87,544,000, then the ex-investigation was 364,000 pieces with a value of Rp325,780,000 and state losses of Rp140,140,000.

The mode of the perpetrators mostly sends via sea delivery service by disguising the name and address of the recipient of the item (fictitious) and disguising the type of item, so that it is difficult to trace.

"The destruction that we have done is the result of prosecution for the period January to July 2018," he said again.

The destruction of the evidence was attended by a number of related agencies such as the Banjarmasin Prosecutors Office, the Post Indonsia Office and others.
