The Idaman Banjarbaru Hospital provided a free medical service for serious disease, such as breast tumor, for the city residents, Saturday.


Mayor Banjarbaru, who attended the social service in the context of  the city's anniversary, appreciated the government-owned hospital activities in helping people.

"We appreciate this social service because, in addition to enlivening the anniversary of Banjarbaru, the aim is also to help the community to prevent and treat the illness," he said.

This, he said, was in line with the City of Service which has character that the city, inhabited by more than 200 thousand people, wanted to reach.

"Our hope is that this social activity to continue because it is very helpful for the community in their efforts to get health services so they can improve their health status," he said.

Director of the Idaman Hospital Endah Labati Silapurna said, the number of participants who were given services was 200 people from 20 urban villages.

"The social service participants are those prone to socio-economic conditions, so they need to be helped with free of charge because it is fully assisted by the hospital," she said.

The participants received checking services of breast tumor, reproductive, eye and ENT from specialists of the Idaman Hospital assisted by the Association of ENT-KL specialists in the South and Central Kalimantan.
