Kotabaru Health Office is targeting to increase the status of 10 community health centers (puskesmas) spread across sub-districts and islands in in the district to be accredited.


"Of the 28 puskesmas here 18 have been accredited, 10 health centers with basic accreditation status, 7 with middle accreditation status, and 1 health center with primary accreditation," Head of Kotabaru Health Office H Akhmad Rivai said here on Wednesday.

While 10 puskesmas those have not been accredited are the Puskesmas Gunung Batu Besar; Sampanahan Inpatient; Tamiang Geronggang; Pudi; and Banian Inpatient.

Furthermore, Puskesmas Tanjung Samalantakan; Pamukan II; Tanjung Selayar; Lontar Inpatient; and Marabatuan.

To realize this target, head of the agency invites all parties involved to improve performance in providing professional services, and the best for the community.

After all puskesmas accredited, Rivai plans to make the puskesmas a District Public Service Agency (BLUD), such as the current status of the Kotabaru District Hospital (RSUD).

"With the BLUD, it is expected that services at the puskesmas will be better," he explained.
