The South Kalimantan Narcotics Agency (BNNP Kalsel) has thwarted an attempt of  trafficking 3 kilogram of crystal meth (sabu-sabu) put in 20 package. Two suspects were arrested.

"A total of 3,104 gram of sabu-sabu have been confiscated in the uncovering of the drug ring," said Head of BNNP's Eradication Dept Adj Sr Comr (AKBP) Edy Saprianadi, Wednesday (20/3).

The antidrug agent arrested two suspects, ID (37) and SN (36) in two different places, Tuesday (19/3) afternoon.

Edy revealed, the dealers, who could be said to be "big-class",  were traced originated from information received by BNNP that there was someone as a drug storage warehouse controller.

Then the team led by the Head of the Investigation Section Comr. Yanto Suparwito conducted monitoring for two weeks until they found the identity of the man as operation target (TO).

"First we catch the suspect Ogah on Jalan Ahmad Yani Km 23 Banjarbaru when he wanted to make a transaction with evidence of sabu-sabu 5 packages weighing 524 grams," Edy explained to the Antara News Agency.

After interrogating the suspect, the officers pursued another suspect SN. He was arrested at his home in the Landasan Ulin Timur, Banjarbaru.

The evidence of the sabu-sabu hidden by the suspect on a motorcycle was quite large, 15 packages with a total weight of 2.54 kilograms.

"The suspect seems to have learned of the whereabouts of the officer so he intended to leave the house using a motorbike carrying the sabu-sabu he hide," said Edy.

It is suspected that this network has been supplied the white crystal powder from Surabaya which was smuggled by sea to Banjarmasin. For this reason, BNNP continues to develop the case to be able to dismantle a kingpin above.
