Regent Tanah Laut H Sukamta conducted a corn harvest and thanksgiving together with the Bina Usaha Farmers Group in Sambangan Village, Bati-Bati Subdistrict, Monday (4/3).
H Sukamta said corn plants are a door to sustenance for the people of Tanah Laut because Allah Mighty and the Majestic has bestowed their land suitable for corn crops.
"The blessings that Allah SWT has given us should not be wasted," he said.
On that occasion, he requested, farmers continue to increase production and planted corn area.
Also present at the event were the Head of Food Crops, Horticulture and Plantation Agency, Economy, Development and People Welfare Assistant, Bati-Bati Subdistrict Head, farmers and the local community.
