Amuntai, S Kalimantan (Antaranews Kalsel) - North Hulu Sungai (HSU) Population and Civil Registration Agency (Disdukcatpil) has destroyed 13,693 blanks and electronic ID (KTP-els) since 2018.
Head of Population Registration Division of the agency Hj. Ida Rusmaliana in Amuntai on Monday said the destruction of blank and KTP-el was done twice.
"The first destruction on December 23, 2018 was 11,293 pieces and the second on January 14, 2019 was 2,400 pieces, so the total had been destroyed by burning was 13,693 pieces," she said.
Ida explained that the destruction was in accordance with the Minister of Home Affairs' letter No.471.13/24149/ dukcatil to the regents and mayors across Indonesia in order to destroy the damaged or invalid KTP-el by burning.
Before the case of KTP-el was found scattered in several places in Java and Sumatra, she told, HSU had not yet carried out the destruction. According to the Ministry of Home Affairs policy at that time the damaged and invalid KTP-els or blanks was sent to the ministry.
