Kandangan, S Kalimantan (Antaranews Kalsel) - South Hulu Sungai (HSS) Regent H Achmad Fikry accompanied by Deputy Regent Syamsuri Arsyad handed over aid for victims of the tsunami that hit Banten and Lampung.
Head of HSS Disaster Mitigation, Nation Unity and Politics Agency (BP Kesbangpol) Efran here on Friday (28/12) said, the assistance handed over to 1003 Kandangan Military Commander (Dandim) Infantry Lieutenant Colonel Suhardi Aji Sriwijayanto, to be subsequently distributed to the Provincial Government of Banten and Lampung through 101 Antasari Provincial Military Command (Korem) in Banjarmasin.
"The assistance that was handed over was IDR 48,296,000, which was collected through several components, including the TNI, National Police, state apparatus, volunteers, and from various community organizations in HSS," he said on the sidelines of the assistance in the Regent's office yard.
After the help of money, there will be more logistical assistance distributed in the form of appropriate clothing and food for tsunami victims. Assistance will be sent in the next second stage.
Regent H Achmad Fikry expressed his gratitude to all groups who have provided assistance as a form of mutual care and concern to ease the burden of the victims.
