Kandangan, S Kalimantan (Antaranews Kalsel) - The South Hulu Sungai Family Welfare Movement (TP PKK) in collaboration with Bank Kalsel held a workshop for local sasirangan craftswomen.
Deputy Chairperson of the TP PKK HSS Srie Astuti Syamsuri here on Wednesday (26/12) said this activity was to motivate home-made craftsmen and help the HSS District Government in developing small industries.
Regent H. Achmad Fikry said that the local government continues to encourage Sasirangan artisans to succeed, and workshops are in line with the program for the next five years to develop entrepreneurship.
If in HSS many sasirangan artisans will be instructed so that students do not buy sasirangan printing, but buy sasirangan of local products with good quality that present typical HSS motifs, such as ketupat.
"We want mothers to be able to create a home-based business to generate additional income for the family. If the business becomes large it can accommodate other workers," he said.
