Banjarmasin, S Kalimantan (Antaranews Kalsel)  - The South Kalimantan Regional Police Chief Inspector General of Police Yazid Fanani hopes South Kalimantan will give birth to reliable shooters who can speak on the national and even the world scene.

"Through this championship, I hope athletes will emerge to make proud achievements not only in the region but also nationally may be to perform internationally," Yazid said when opening a shooting tournament  entitled "Dansat Brimob Polda Kalsel Cup 2018" in Teratai Shooting Range of South Kalimantan Regional Police Mobile Brigade in Banjarbaru, Friday (30/11).

The police chief saw the participants not only from the military, TNI or Polri, but the general public and athletes of the Indonesian Shooting and Hunting Association (Perbakin) also demonstrated their ability to shoot here.

For this reason, it is hoped that there will be many talented shooters who can become athletes in the future to name the region as well as institutions of the TNI or Police.

"Uphold sportsmanship in achieving achievements. This championship is a moment of collaborating, interacting and establishing mutual sharing of fellow shooters' experiences," the two-star general said.

The Chairperson of the South Kalimantan Perbakin Board Herman Chandra said he was ready to recruit the champions to be trained to join in Perbakin to then take part in the Pelatnas in Jakarta.

"There are a number of Perbakin athletes who also participate this time, of course, this adds to the level of competition and quality of the championship," he said.

He thanked the South Kalimantan Mobile Brigade Unit for routinely holding shooting championships so that every year it could be seen the emergence of potential shooters to be recruited to become South Kalimantan Perbakin athletes.

The shooting championship which was held in the framework of the 73rd anniversary of the Indonesian Mobile Brigade Corps competed in several classes, including the Fun Game Precision Execute Gun up to the Fun Game 110M class on the car and IPSC Level I (6 stage) and PCC (Caraben Caliber Pistol).
