Paringin, S Kalimantan (Antaranews Kalsel) - The continuation of the construction of the Pitap irrigation network in Balangan District, South Kalimantan, along 31 kilometers, is still constrained by land.
Previously, the Head of the Hall of River Area (BWS) Kalimantan II Dwi Purwantoro in mid-April, when launching the running test channel in Awayan Subdistrict, said that the irrigation project undertaken since 2015 will be completed earlier than the specified time, namely October 2018.
"We plan to finish earlier than the plan, so we can check the project whether there are any shortcomings or anything that needs to be added," he told Antaranews at that time.
PT Brantas Abipraya - Ashfri Putralora KSO Operations Staff when it was confirmed Monday (11/26) revealed that there were no problems related to the construction of the project, only there were problems outside of the project executor's power.
"Actually there is no problem in the workmanship, it's just that the problem is beyond the power of PT Brantas Abipraya - Ashfri Putralora KSO, as the executor of the follow-up project." he said.
PT Brantas Abipraya works on 65% of the project, while PT Ashfri KSO or PT Ashfri Putra Lora 35%. The projects include earthworks, heaps (compacted), conventional precast and channel lines, complementary buildings, sluice gates, and dam improvement works.
Pitap irrigation networks include S. Sikontan, Awayan Subdistrict, with a channel length of 8.4 kilometers, with an irrigating quota of 555 hectares, S.S Putat Bangkalan 6.8 kilometers with a quota of 1,393 hectares.
Batumandi sub-district includes S. Tariwin with a length of 6.8 kilometers, with a quota of 219 hectares of watering, S. Lokbatu with a length of 11.8 Km and a quota of 1,477 hectares, S. Batumandi with a length of 2.9 km with a quota of irrigation 1.55 hectares. Primary channel with a length of 0.475 km with a quota of 4,144 hectares.
