Banjarmasin, S Kalimantan (Antaranews Kalsel) - Banjarmasin Mayor H Ibnu Sina very much appreciated Duta Borneo Coffee Festival which featured South Kalimantan special coffee in Transmart Duta Mall Banjarmasin for November 22-25.
"I am very grateful for the Duta Borneo Coffee Festival. Hopefully, it will have a positive impact on the tourism of Banjarmasin City," he said of the Bank Indonesia-supported festival.
According to him, the development of stalls and cafes that provide coffee drinks in the city has been increasing lately. "The cafe that provides coffee drinks has sprung up in the area of Sultan Adam, Kayutangi, and Jalan A Yani. This indicates that there are quite a lot of coffee connoisseurs in Banjarmasin," he said.
He hopes the increasing development of cafes providing coffee drinks can have a positive impact on the progress of tourism in Banjarmasin City.
Meanwhile, Head of the Bank Indonesia South Kalimantan Representative Office Herawanto said Duta Borneo Coffee Festival aims to raise the potential of local coffee in South Kalimantan.
According to him, South Kalimantan coffee has a distinctive aroma and taste compared to other regions in Indonesia.
"In South Kalimantan, there are several coffees that have been known since ancient times, including Pengaron coffee and others," he said.
