Banjarmasin, S Kalimantan (Antaranews Kalsel) - Head of the South Kalimantan Finance Agency (BKD) Aminuddin Latif said the provincial government has prepared funds to help disaster victims in Palu, Central Sulawesi, and West Nusa Tenggara (NTB) each Rp1 billion.
According to Aminuddin, the aid is taken from an unexpected fund post of the 2018 South Kalimantan Budget (APBD).
"Based on an appeal from the Ministry of the Interior, the Governor Sahbirin Noor provided grants to assist in the reconstruction after the disasters in Palu and NTB," he said in Banjarmasin on Tuesday.
Currently, he added, the funds are ready, if at any time it is necessary for infrastructure development in the two provinces.
Aminuddin revealed that his party was looking at what the plan to use the funds is needed for. Because he added, assistance must be given in a direct manner, according to the needs of the recipient area.
In addition to the provincial government, several elements of society and community organizations and students in South Kalimantan also gathered to raise aid for disasters in Palu.
Previously, the Indonesia Battleship (KRI) Surabaya-591 transported aid from South Kalimantan to be taken to Palu, Central Sulawesi.
