Banjarmasin, S Kalimantan (Antaranews Kalsel) - Inspector General of Police Yazid Fanani is confirmed to replace Inspector General Rachmat Mulyana as the new South Kalimantan Regional Police Chief.


"The change of position of the South Kalimantan police chief was included in the telegram letter from the National Police Chief regarding the transfer of positions of high-ranking and middle-ranking officers," Head of PR South Kalimantan Regional Police Adj Sr Comr (AKBP) Mochamad Rifai said here on Monday.

In the National Police Chief Telegram Letter Number: ST/2014/VIII/KEP/2018 dated August 13, 2018, the name of the South Kalimantan Regional Police is included in 35 high-ranking officers with the rank of inspector general and brig.gen.

Inspector General of Police Pol Rachmat Mulyana subsequently served as staff of the National Police chief for social affairs. Meanwhile Insp. Gen. Yazid Fanani is currently a high ranking officer of the National Police in the assignment to the State Intelligence Agency (BIN).

Rifai said, the handover ceremony would be held at the National Police Headquarters. It's time to adjust the schedule of the National Police Chief General Tito Karnavian or other appointed National Police leaders.

Insp.Gen. Yazid Fanani was a graduate of the 1988 Police Academy who was experienced in the field of investigation.

The man who was born in Kediri, East Java, 29 April 1965 had also assumed the mandate as the Jambi Police Chief before being assigned to BIN.
