Banjarmasin, S Kalimantan (AntaranewsKalsel) - The 17th or the last flight group (keloter) of hajj candidates pilgrim of Banjarmasin Embarkation, South Kalimantan, has been flown to the holy land of Mecca, Saudi Arabia, via Syamsuddin Noor Airport on Monday.


According to the Head of South Kalimantan Office of Ministry of Religious Affairs H Noor Fahmi, the last flight group flew with Garuda Indonesia (GA-8117) is planned to land at King Abdul Aziz Jeddah Airport on the 13.20 hrs local time.

"With the departure of the last keloter, the total number of hajj prospective pilgrims and officers who have been dispatched are as many as 3,886 people," he said in Banjarmasin on Monday.

The 17th flight group comes from Tanah Laut District, Banjarmasin City, and Barito Kuala District. "The number is 323 people, with 315 hajj candidates, the rest are officers," he said.

According to Noor Fahmi, the oldest hajj candidate in the last flight group is 83 years old on behalf of Siti Hamsah, while the youngest was 18 years old on behalf of Alfia Turrahman Kandarani.
     
He said the process of the departure of the Banjarmasin Embarkation hajj candidates pilgrims from 17 July to 13 August 2018 was quite smooth.

"We would like to thank all those involved in the smooth process of departure for the hajj candidate pilgrim this year," he said.
      
Primarily, he said, to the Governor as director, Transportation Agency, Health Agency, Port Health Office, Immigration Class I Banjarmasin, Customs Office, Garuda Indonesia, Gapura Angkasa, Angkasa Pura, Banjarbaru Police, Kodim 1006, Banjarmasin Hajj Dormitory and all agencies or individual.

Regarding the waiting period for the departure of the South Kalimantan hajj candidate, he revealed that as of August 13, 2018 at 00.00 there were 104,333 people. "With a waiting period of 27 years," he said.
