Banjarmasin, (Antaranews Kalsel) - Ninety-nine trees are simultaneously planted by mayors who joint the Indonesian City Administration Association (Apeksi) on 38 hectare land in Bumi Latoeng camping area, Tarakan City.
In the area, the mayor of Banjarmasin H Ibnu Sina was seen planting ulin tree seedlings. "Alhamdulillah. Hopefully it useful for our children and grandchildren" he said.
Planting of tree seedlings by the mayors was part of series of 13th Apeksi's National Coordination Meeting held in Tarakan City, North Kalimantan.
Chairman of the Board of Apeksi Hj Airin Rachmi D in her speech said the tree planting activity is a good moment for each region (mayor) to plant trees from their origin city.
She expected these activities will provide benefits in the future. "Success for all of us, and hopefully we are all given the smooth," she said.
Meanwhile, the heads of agencies (SKPD) Banjarmasin Municipal Government also took part in these activities.
In the event, mayors signed an inscription to mark the inauguration of Apeksi monument in the region.
After carrying out the tree planting, all mayors and entourage back to Hotel Tarakan Plaza to continue Apeksi meetings.
