Rantau, S Kalimantan (Antaranews Kalsel) - Banjar culinary specialties pundut nasi becomes a special magnet to foreign representatives at the Tapin District booth at Banjar Culture Festival in Taman Ismail Marzuki, Jakarta.


"We deliberately carry this off from Rantau about 50 packs, the guests who attended like it," said Head of Tapin Culture and Tourism Agency Hamdan Rosyadi in Jakarta.

In addition to being favored by the people of Banjar who wander in Jakarta, the pundut nasi or rice bundle is also favored by representatives of foreign ambassadors.

"Even some representatives from other countries curious about the processing of this typical culinary of rice-based wrapped in banana leaf," he said.

In addition to pundut nasi, Tapin booth also provides a variety of Banjar typical culinary, such as wadai pais, rimpi, kacang jaruk, apam maru, and cincin (ring cake).

"For wadai pais we prepare three variants, namely pais waluh, pais sagu, and pais baras," Hamdan said again.

Banjar Culture Festival held from 29 June to 1 July at Taman Ismail Marzuki Jakarta is to enliven the 491th Anniversary of Jakarta City. It is organized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in cooperation with KBB (Society of Banjar Harmony) and the Government of South Kalimantan.

Festival, which is also become a halal bihalal (gathering) event for Banjar citizens in Jakarta, held to support the activities of tourism in Indonesia through the introduction of Banjar culture. The event was attended by representatives from various friendly countries.
