Banjarmasin, (AntaranewsKalsel) - South Kalimantan Police Chief Brig. Gen. Rachmat Mulyana monitored the last departure of the ship at Trisakti Port, Banjarmasin, Wednesday (13/6) afternoon.


"Thank God the ship that serves the Idul Fitri homecoming can depart on schedule and all mudik travellers can be transported," said Rachmat while at the port dock owned by PT Pelindo III.

He was grateful to all officers who joined in the Post Terpadu Lebaran or the Idul Fitri Integrated Post at Trisakti Port. According to him, thanks to the role of the joint members, the flow of going home is orderly and smooth.

"I did not get any reports of any outstanding incidents at the harbor, everything was fine. Yesterday there was only a ramp door incident at KM Kirana IX's could not be closed, so it could only depart at daylight from the schedule of early in the morning," he said.

The last vessel from Trisakti Harbor departs at 13:30 carrying 1,392 passengers and 115 vehicles.

KM Kirana IX belong to national shipping PT Dharma Lautan Utama (DLU) at transported the most passengers, while Niki Barokah which departed on Wednesday (13/6) morning only carry 232 passengers.

After KM Kirana IX, which is the last ship carrying mudik passengers from Banjarmasin, the the next ship will come from the Port of Tanjung Perak Surabaya, Monday (18/7).

In addition to monitoring the harbor area, Police Chief Rachmat Mulyana accompanied by Traffic Police Director Sr Comr E Zulpan and Banjarmasin Police chief Sr Comr Sumarto also had stopped by the Idul Fitri Post 4 by the Merdeka Bridge led by Adj Comr (AKP) Sigit Prihanto to give the gift of Idul Fitri to the duty officers.

The Police Chief advised officers to provide maximum service to the community and maintain the security condition, especially in takbiran night which is the gathering point of residents in the middle of Banjarmasin City.
